An atlas of places that matter to you. It lives in your browser. There is no account and no server of ours. Close the tab and it waits. Erase it and it is gone.

Your places, tags, notes, stars, photos. All of it stays on your device, in this browser, under this address. Photos never leave it. We collect nothing and we cannot read your atlas.

A walk is not a point. Drop a gpx from any walking app on the field and it becomes a way: the line, its distance, its climb, the hour it asks of you, and the ground drawn as a section you can run a finger along. Ways are kept, handed over and printed like everything else.

Three services answer this page, and each sees your address and the request you made, as any website's would.

The map tiles come from CARTO, so it sees roughly where you are looking. Place search goes to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim only when you press for it, never as you type, and it sees what you searched. The typefaces come from Google Fonts. None of them receives your atlas.

This app lives on its own address, resonate.select, and a browser keeps storage per address. Nothing published anywhere else can read this atlas. The newsstand lives on a separate address for the same reason.

Nothing, until you hand someone a link. A link carries only what you put in it: the places of a folio, or your atlas without photos. An ask carries one question and your name. That is all.

A folio is a titled set of places, kept on your shelf for yourself. Keeping one shares nothing. It holds references rather than copies, so it follows your atlas as you improve it: rename a place and the folio says the new name. File a place into one from the place itself, or compose a folio from the whole atlas.

When you choose to, the same folio can be handed to one person as a link, published to the newsstand, or printed. Only then does anything leave, and only what is enclosed, without photographs.

You hand a folio to one person. A titled, signed set of places. When someone hands you theirs, your device compares the two atlases: what you both hold, what you both love, where they know ground you do not. The verdict is a word, never a score.

Keep a person as a voice and their marks stay on your field, open rings you may adopt. An adopted place says after their name, forever.

Anyone may publish a folio to the commons. Your device fetches the list and ranks it against your own atlas. The ranking happens on your device. The newsstand never learns what you like, what you read, or who you are.

Export everything as a file, whenever. Print a folio, or the whole atlas, as a typeset page or a pdf. Erase everything, whenever, and it does not come back. Trust is a person, not a platform.
